28th General Chapter of the Salesians

General Chapter 28 commenced on February 16, 2020 with the Holy Mass at Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, Turin, Italy. Rev. Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, Rector Major, was the main celebrant. There are 221 participants (Provincials and delegates) in GC 28 which will be held till April 4, 2020.

Continent wise, the Participants/Delegates are: Africa-Madagascar: 28; America: 22; East Asia-Oceania: 25; South Asia: 33; Europe Central & North: 37; Inter-America: 26; Mediterranean region : 31. Apart from them, there are 20 observers & invitees for the chapter. The highest number of participants from a country is India. There are 31 participants from India.
