    Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian Pattamkulam SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, formally assumed office as the new Director of the North East Regional Youth Commission (NERYC) on the evening of 10th<\/sup> December 2025. The installation ceremony took place in the presence of Rev. John Moolachira, D.D., Archbishop of Guwahati and Bishop in-charge of NERYC. Also present were Rev. Fr. Amalraj, Deputy Secretary of the NEIRBC, the outgoing Director Rev. Fr. John Barman MSFS, the staff of NERYC, and invited guests.<\/h3>\n

    Marking the transition, NERYC\u2019s official Facebook page shared a heartfelt message of gratitude and hope:
    \u201cToday, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. John Barman MSFS for his dedicated service to the youth of Northeast India. Your leadership, gentleness, and vision have shaped countless lives.
    We also warmly welcome Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian SDB as our new Regional Secretary.
    Together, we continue the mission of faith, unity, and service.

    The Salesian Province of Guwahati expressed great joy at Fr. Cletus\u2019s appointment, noting his deep commitment, expertise, and passion for youth animation. A seasoned youth counsellor and animator, Fr. Cletus has been actively involved in youth ministry since 2012, beginning as the Deputy Director of Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli. He later served as the Executive Director of Don Bosco Socio-Technical Institute, Tezpur (2015), before returning to DBI as its Executive Director.<\/p>\n

    With over a decade of experience working closely with young people across the Northeast, Fr. Cletus brings valuable insights and a dynamic vision to the Regional Youth Commission. His leadership is expected to significantly strengthen the mission of accompanying, empowering, and inspiring the young.<\/p>\n

    The Province extends its warmest wishes to Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian Pattamkulam SDB as he begins his new responsibility, praying for God\u2019s guidance and abundant blessings on his service with NERYC.<\/p>\n
