St Michael\u2019s Catholic Church, Damra, organised a four-day Youth Meet from 18 to 21 October 2026, bringing together young people for a time of personal renewal, values formation, learning, fellowship, and cultural exchange.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The programme commenced on Sunday, 18 October, with registration, followed by the inauguration, prayer, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr Martin R. Marak SDB. The opening day also featured an introductory session and various group activities, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and togetherness among the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev. Fr Vincent Xalxo SDB welcomed the chief guest, Rev. Fr Jimberth K. Marak, and encouraged the young people to participate actively and enthusiastically in the programme. He urged them to make the most of the opportunity by listening attentively, engaging in the different sessions, and learning from the experiences and insights shared by the resource persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the following days, the youth participated in morning prayers and meditations, Bible-based reflections, interactive sessions, competitions, and group activities. The sessions were animated by various resource persons, including Rev. Fr Cherak Sangma, Rev. Fr Justin Arul Chinnaparaj SDB, Rev. Fr Daniel Sangma, and other animators. These sessions aimed to strengthen the participants\u2019 faith, deepen their understanding of Christian values, and encourage them to become responsible and service-minded young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme also included the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, cultural activities, and opportunities for personal reflection and fellowship. These spiritual and recreational activities helped foster unity, friendship, and a deeper sense of belonging among the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Youth Meet concluded on 21 October with a general meeting and final activities, followed by tea and the departure of the participants. The four-day gathering provided a valuable opportunity for the young people of Damra and the surrounding areas to grow in faith, develop their talents, and renew their commitment to life and service in their families, parish, and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
