Rev. Fr. Ethelbert Minj SDB represented the Province at the Vocational Guidance Coordinators\u2019 Meet<\/strong>, held from 8\u201310 October 2026<\/strong> at Don Bosco House SPCSA, Dwarka 7, New Delhi.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The meeting brought together Salesians involved in vocational animation and guidance from different provinces of India for reflection, sharing and coordination of efforts in promoting Salesian vocations. The gathering was organised around the theme \u201cCalled to Fullness of Life\u201d (Jn 10:10), highlighting the vocation of every young person to discover and live life fully in accordance with God\u2019s plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting emphasised the importance of accompanying young people, helping them discern their vocation, fostering vocations and building the Kingdom of God. The participants reflected on the changing realities and aspirations of young people and the need for a renewed approach to vocational ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Salesian vocation ministry seeks not merely to recruit candidates but to journey with young people, helping them recognise God\u2019s presence in their lives, discern their gifts and choices, and respond generously to their personal vocation. The Salesian spirit of being \u201cwith the young, for the young\u201d remained an important inspiration throughout the gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Ethelbert\u2019s participation provided an opportunity for the Province of Guwahati to share its experiences and concerns in vocational guidance and to learn from the experiences and initiatives of other Salesian provinces. The meeting also served as a platform for strengthening collaboration and networking among those entrusted with the responsibility of vocation promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
