A four-day programme on \u201cPsychosexual Integration and Affective Maturity\u201d was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru, from 21 to 25 September 2026. The programme brought together formators from different Salesian Provinces and other religious congregations with the aim of deepening their understanding of human development, affective maturity, and the challenges involved in accompanying young people and candidates in religious formation.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The programme was conducted by Fr. Banzelao Teixeira SDB, Vice Provincial of the Panjim Province and Formation In-charge for South Asia. His leadership and coordination helped create a meaningful environment for reflection, learning, sharing, and formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The principal resource persons included Fr. Jose Kuttianimattathil SDB and Fr. Joe Kokkandathil SDB, who guided the participants through various aspects of psychosexual development and affective maturity. Their presentations and interactions helped the participants to look more deeply into the human and spiritual dimensions of formation. The sessions encouraged the formators to understand the importance of self-awareness, emotional balance, healthy relationships, personal boundaries, responsible freedom, and mature interpersonal communication in the formation journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme was attended by Fr. Kolombiya Rabha SDB and Fr. Wilson Topno SDB from the Province, along with around 30 other participants representing different Salesian Provinces and other religious congregations, including religious sisters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme also emphasized the responsibility of formators in creating a safe and supportive formation environment. Proper accompaniment requires sensitivity to the different stages of human development and an awareness of the emotional and relational needs of those in formation. The sessions provided valuable perspectives that can help formators accompany candidates more responsibly and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participation of Fr. Kolombiya Rabha SDB and Fr. Wilson Topno SDB from ING in this programme was an enriching experience. The knowledge, insights, and reflections gained during these days will be valuable for their ministry of accompanying and forming young people in the spirit of Don Bosco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme concluded with gratitude to the organizers, resource persons, and all the participants for their valuable contributions. The experience at Don Bosco Provincial House, Bengaluru, provided the formators with renewed motivation and greater awareness of their important responsibility in preparing young people for a mature, responsible, and committed life of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
