A three-day Spiritual Retreat was held at St Joseph\u2019s Parish, Barpeta Road, from 11th<\/sup> to 13th<\/sup> September 2026, bringing together parishioners and the aspirants of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC), Barpeta Road, for a day of prayer, reflection and spiritual renewal.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The retreat was organised by Rev. Fr Jonas Toppo SDB, Parish Priest and Rector of Barpeta Road, in collaboration with the Salesians and the Sisters serving in the parish. The programme provided the participants with an opportunity to step away from their daily activities and deepen their relationship with God through prayer and meditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The retreat was preached by Rev. Fr Shaji, VC. Through his reflections, he invited the participants to look more deeply into their Christian vocation and their relationship with God. His preaching was interspersed with moments of prayer, personal reflection and sharing, allowing the participants to interiorise the message and relate it to their own lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moments of sharing also created an atmosphere of fraternity and openness, enabling the participants to express their experiences of faith and their spiritual journeys. The retreat encouraged the parish community to renew its commitment to prayer, Christian living and service to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
