On 5 September 2026, the<\/strong> Don Bosco College of Teacher Education, Tura, celebrated Teachers\u2019 Day 2026 with joy, gratitude and enthusiasm, honouring the dedication and invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives and future of students. The celebration provided the student-teachers with an opportunity to express their appreciation for the noble and transformative profession of teaching.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The programme commenced at 11:00 a.m. and was compered by Balkamchi Momin and Anand Purti. It began with a Bible Reading by Probitha R. Marak, followed by a prayer led by Sr. Tejiana G. Momin. The First Semester students then presented a melodious Welcome Song, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his Address of Gathering, Dr. Fr. Pius Varghese highlighted the significance of Teachers\u2019 Day and reflected on the responsibility entrusted to educators. He emphasised that teachers play a vital role not only in imparting knowledge but also in forming responsible, compassionate and morally grounded individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration continued with a lively dance performance by Aisha and friends, followed by cake cutting and the presentation of gifts to the teachers. Bidia D. Sangma delivered the Notes of Gratitude, expressing heartfelt appreciation for the teachers\u2019 guidance, patience, dedication and constant encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A colourful cultural programme added further vibrancy to the celebration. It featured a dance by Chiame and group, a video presentation by Chesil Ch. Marak, a solo dance by Nosbina R. Marak, and a group song by Tachera R. Sangma and friends. The programme was further enriched by inspiring speeches, group and duet dances, and the special presentation \u201cLapynbianglang Syrem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Sunchira N. Arench, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, teachers, student-teachers and all those who contributed to making the occasion meaningful and memorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
