Don Bosco School, Sashipur, celebrated the 80th<\/sup> Independence Day of India with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm on 15 August 2026. The celebration began at 7:00 a.m. with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag, the singing of the National Anthem and a colourful March Past by the different Colour Houses.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Nicodim Aind SDB, Principal of the school, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion, hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering on the significance of Independence Day. In his speech, he reflected on the true meaning of being independent and reminded the students that freedom also comes with responsibility, discipline and the duty to contribute positively to society and the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the Independence Day address, a short break was given during which snacks were served to the students and staff. The celebration then continued with a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cultural performances added colour and joy to the celebration, with the students enthusiastically showcasing their talents and expressing their love for the nation. The entire school community participated wholeheartedly, making the occasion a memorable one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration concluded on a joyful and uplifting note, with the students and staff returning home with renewed patriotic spirit and a deeper appreciation of the freedom enjoyed by the nation. The 80th Independence Day celebration at Don Bosco School, Sashipur, thus became a meaningful occasion of patriotism, unity, joy and gratitude for India\u2019s freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
