Welcoming the retreatants, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial of the Guwahati Salesian Province, encouraged every participant to make full use of the five-day retreat as a privileged moment of grace to draw closer to the Lord. He expressed his gratitude to the retreat preacher, Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas, SDB, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Kolkata, for his availability to animate the retreat. He also thanked the Siloam community for generously making the retreat centre available for the Province’s Annual Retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The retreat is being preached by Rev. Fr. Biji Thomas, SDB, who is guiding the participants through a series of spiritual conferences, guided meditations, personal prayer, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, and opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These moments are intended to help the confreres deepen their relationship with God and renew their commitment to their Salesian vocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rev Fr Biji Thomas, SDB, the Retreat Preacher, invited the participants to make the retreat a profound spiritual experience. He also reminded them to make good use of the time to facilitate their prayer and reflection during the retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The annual retreat forms an integral part of the Salesian spiritual tradition, offering confreres an opportunity to step away from the demands of ministry, listen attentively to the Word of God, discern His will, and renew their dedication to the mission of educating and evangelising the young, especially those who are poor and marginalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Held amidst the serene surroundings of Siloam, Umiam Khwan, the retreat provides an atmosphere of silence and contemplation, enabling participants to strengthen their spiritual lives and return to their apostolic communities with renewed zeal and enthusiasm for their mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
