Mr. Shaji K.V., Vice President and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Federal Bank, visited Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli, on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, where he interacted with students and encouraged them to acquire industry-relevant skills for a brighter future.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shaji underscored the importance of skill development in enhancing employability and empowering young people. He highlighted the work of the Federal Skill Academy, which operates eight training centres across India in collaboration with various institutions. Expressing his appreciation for DBI’s contribution, he remarked that Don Bosco Institute is the best among the eight Federal Skill Academies for its commitment to quality training, discipline, and successful placement of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcoming the chief guest, Fr. John Rabha, SDB, Associate Director of Don Bosco Institute, felicitated Mr. Shaji and expressed his gratitude to Federal Bank for its continued belief and trust in DBI’s mission of transforming the lives of underprivileged youth through skill-based education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. John Rabha also presented a report on the skill development programmes conducted under the Federal Bank CSR initiative. He informed the gathering that DBI has successfully completed 20 batches of Hospitality, 8 batches of Tailoring, and 5 batches of driving under other skill development programmes. Altogether, 1,190 young people have been trained and successfully placed in various sectors, reflecting the effectiveness of the partnership between Federal Bank and Don Bosco Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interaction provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with the CSR leader, who motivated them to make the most of the training opportunities available and to develop the professional skills and values required in today’s competitive world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sr. Emilia, FMA, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Shaji for his inspiring interaction and to Federal Bank for its steadfast support of youth empowerment initiatives. Also present on the occasion were Fr. V.M. Thomas, SDB, along with the staff and students of Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
