The Tura Diocese Zonal-Level Marian Sodality Meeting, bringing together members from nine parishes of the Diocese, was held at St John Bosco Parish, Mendal from 17 to 19 July 2026<\/strong>. The three-day gathering witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 350 Marian Sodality members<\/strong>, fostering spiritual renewal, fellowship, and Marian devotion.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The programme commenced on 17 July with the arrival of the participants, followed by the inaugural function which was guided by the Diocesan Director of the Marian Sodality, Rev. Fr. Anthony Xavier. The opening ceremony set the tone for three days of prayer, reflection, and formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day’s programme continued with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Holy Eucharist, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Biju Paul of Tikrikilla Parish. The liturgical celebrations provided participants with an opportunity for spiritual renewal and deeper communion with Christ through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the gathering, participants attended a series of enriching sessions conducted by various resource persons. These sessions focused on strengthening Marian spirituality, deepening the understanding of the Sodality’s mission, and encouraging members to become active witnesses of faith in their families and parish communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the event was the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration on 19 July, held at the Mendal Parish Church. A large congregation of faithful joined the Marian Sodality members for the solemn Mass, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Januarius S. Sangma SDB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the closing ceremony was held, during which participants expressed gratitude to the organizers, priests, volunteers, and the host parish for their generous hospitality and dedicated efforts in making the gathering a memorable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme concluded with a fellowship meal before the participants departed for their respective parishes, carrying with them renewed enthusiasm to live out their Marian vocation and continue serving the Church with greater commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
