St. Paul Catholic Church, Nonaipara, under Tangla Parish, marked a historic milestone as it celebrated 94 years of Christian faith<\/strong> with the solemn blessing and inauguration of its newly constructed church, a testament to the unwavering faith and sacrifices of its parishioners on Sunday 28 June, 2026.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The newly built church was blessed and inaugurated by Most Rev. Michael Akasius Toppo, DD, Bishop of Tezpur Diocese, in the gracious presence of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial, Rev. Fr. Jayaprakash Anthonimuttu SDB, Economer and other priests. The solemn Eucharistic celebration and inauguration were attended by ten priests, several religious sisters, and a large gathering of the faithful from the parish and neighbouring communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The completion of the church marks the culmination of 11 years of dedicated effort, generous self-contributions, and steadfast commitment by the parish community. The dream of building a spacious and dignified house of worship became a reality under the leadership and tireless guidance of Rev. Fr. Bhaskar Raj Chintamala, SDB, Parish Priest of Tangla Parish, who accompanied the faithful throughout the construction process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the congregation, Bishop Michael Akasius Toppo expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the parishioners for their remarkable spirit of sacrifice, unity, and perseverance. He congratulated the community for raising such a beautiful church through their own hard work and generous contributions, describing it as a living symbol of their enduring faith in God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal also commended the parish community and the parish leadership for their unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit. He encouraged the faithful to ensure that the new church remains not only a magnificent structure but also a vibrant centre of prayer, evangelisation, and Christian witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration of the new church stands as a significant chapter in the history of St. Paul Catholic Church, Nonaipara.
