A significant milestone in the ongoing renovation of St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church, Garobadha, was marked on Sunday, 21 June 2026, with the solemn blessing of the church foundation following the first Holy Mass of the day.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The blessing ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Siby John, SDB, Parish Priest, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Punit Kumar Lakra, SDB, Rector-cum-Principal, Rev. Fr. Benny Mushahary, SDB, Rev. Fr. Anmol Soreng, SDB, Sr. Cecilia, FMA, Superior of Mazzarello Convent, the Sisters of the community, Parish Council members, representatives of various pious associations, hostel boys and girls, and a large gathering of parishioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the blessing, Fr. Siby John invited the faithful to unite in prayer for the successful and timely completion of the renovation project. He encouraged everyone to seek God\u2019s abundant blessings upon all those involved in the work and to entrust the entire undertaking to Divine Providence. The faithful participated with devotion and enthusiasm, expressing their support and hope for the realization of the project within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also present on the occasion was Mr. Boben, the contractor entrusted with the renovation work, along with his team of workers. Special prayers were offered for their safety, dedication, and commitment as they undertake the important responsibility of rebuilding and enhancing the church structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blessing of the foundation marked the official commencement of a new phase in the renovation project, symbolizing the faith, unity, and collective commitment of the parish community. It was a moment of thanksgiving to God for His guidance thus far and an opportunity to seek His continued protection and blessings throughout the construction process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
