The Administrators\u2019 Meeting of the Province, was held on 20 June 2026, bringing together Fathers, Brothers, and Accountants from various communities and institutions of the Province for a day of learning, reflection, and capacity building in the area of administration and financial management. The meeting commenced at 9:30 a.m. with an invocation led by Fr. Anugrah Tete SDB, who animated the gathering with a hymn to the Holy Spirit and an opening prayer. Following the invocation, Fr Jayaprakash Anthonimuttu SDB, Provincial Economer welcomed all the participants and highlighted the growing importance of digital financial management in contemporary administration. He encouraged all administrators and accountants to familiarize themselves with the ACME and BoscoSoft ERP systems, emphasizing their role in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial operations.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The gathering was formally addressed by Fr Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial, who reflected on the theme of responsible stewardship. He reminded the participants that they are custodians of the resources entrusted to the Congregation and are called to administer them with integrity, accountability, and a deep sense of mission. Drawing inspiration from the Gospel image of servants in the vineyard of the Lord, he urged everyone to view administration as a ministry of service rather than merely a managerial responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first technical session, which began at 10:00 a.m., was conducted by Fr. Owen Chourappa SJ, who served as the resource person on land administration. His presentation provided a detailed explanation of the various classifications of land under the Assam Land Revenue Act. Fr. Owen emphasized the importance of safeguarding institutional properties through proper documentation and legal compliance. He encouraged communities to maintain updated land records and remain vigilant regarding legal requirements related to land ownership and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second session was led by Mr. Saurav Das, Auditor, who presented a comprehensive analysis of common financial discrepancies observed in various communities within the Province and in other religious congregations. Stressing the need for accountability, he highlighted the importance of maintaining accurate and complete records of all financial transactions. He also spoke extensively on the proper management of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) accounts, explaining current government regulations and compliance requirements. His practical observations and recommendations provided valuable guidance for administrators entrusted with financial responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the lunch break, participants attended a hands-on training session facilitated by Mr. Alex, a representative of the ACME and BoscoSoft ERP management team, who had travelled from Chennai for the occasion. The session focused on the installation and practical use of the software. Through live demonstrations, Mr. Alex explained how the platform could be used to systematically record income and expenditure, maintain itemized accounts, and generate accurate financial reports. The interactive session allowed participants to clarify doubts and gain firsthand experience in operating the software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting concluded with a final address by the Provincial, who reiterated the importance of transparency, competence, and efficiency in financial administration. He encouraged all participants to implement the knowledge and skills acquired during the day in their respective communities and institutions, thereby strengthening good governance and accountability throughout the Province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
