The month-long Marian devotion at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Kharghuli<\/strong>, concluded on 31 May 2026 with a solemn and prayerful Marian Procession<\/strong>, bringing together the youth of the institute in a vibrant expression of faith and love for the Blessed Virgin Mary.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The celebration began with the devout recitation of the Holy Rosary, during which students, staff, sisters, and hostel residents reflected on the mysteries of Christ through the eyes of Mary. Carrying a statue of the Blessed Mother, the participants prayerfully processed through the verandas and corridors of the institute, singing Marian hymns and offering intentions for their families, studies, and the needs of the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The procession culminated at the institute\u2019s amphitheatre, where the youth gathered to sing hymns of praise and thanksgiving to the Mother of God. The atmosphere was marked by devotion, joy, and a deep sense of spiritual unity as the Marian month came to a close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organized by Rev. Fr. John Rabha, SDB, Associate Director of DBI, together with the Salesian sisters and hostel wardens, whose efforts ensured the meaningful participation of the young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Fr. John Rabha reminded the youth that the Marian procession was not merely a tradition but a public expression of love and honour for the Mother of God. He explained that through the procession, the faithful acknowledge Mary\u2019s unique role in salvation history and her constant maternal care for the Church. \u201cWhen we walk together in procession, praying and singing in honour of Mary, we proclaim our faith and gratitude to the one who always leads us to Jesus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Rabha encouraged the young people to imitate Mary\u2019s virtues of humility, obedience, faith, and service. He noted that Mary remains a model for every Christian and especially for the youth, teaching them how to listen to God\u2019s voice and respond generously to His call. He urged them not to limit their devotion to the month of May alone but to cultivate a lasting relationship with the Blessed Mother through daily prayer, especially the Rosary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
