A two-day Teachers\u2019 Seminar cum Workshop was successfully organized at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Haflong, from 28th<\/sup> to 29th<\/sup> May 2026, bringing together 96 educators from various Don Bosco institutions across Dima Hasao District, Assam. The seminar served as a vibrant platform for professional enrichment, collaborative learning, and renewed dedication to holistic education in the spirit of Don Bosco.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The programme commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome address by Rev. Fr. Xavier Beck, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Haflong. In his address, he emphasized the importance of continuous learning, teacher empowerment, and the Salesian commitment to forming young minds with compassion, competence, and values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Anjan Choudhury, a renowned animator and trainer widely appreciated for his dynamic and engaging approach to educational leadership and teacher formation. As a gesture of gratitude and honour from the Don Bosco teachers\u2019 fraternity and the school management, he was felicitated with a traditional Phulan Gamocha<\/em> by Ma\u2019am Irene Shadap, a respected veteran teacher of the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar featured a series of enriching and highly interactive sessions covering diverse topics such as pedagogy, andragogy, life skills, problem-solving abilities, proxemics, kinetics, chronemics, facilitation skills, classroom management, effective communication, adult learning principles, and the evolving role of educators in modern education. The sessions were carefully designed with practical activities, group discussions, experiential learning methods, and participatory exercises, making the workshop lively, insightful, and professionally enriching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A remarkable highlight of the workshop was its deep rootedness in the educational philosophy of Don Bosco. Every session reflected the Salesian vision of education that promotes holistic formation, preventive education, accompaniment, human values, and the integral development of young people.
