Fr. Januarius S. Sangma, was officially installed as the new Rector and Principal of Don Bosco Centre for Learning (DBCL) during a solemn ceremony held at 8:30 p.m. on 25th May 2026 in the chapel of DBCL. The installation service was presided over by Rev. Fr. Provincial in the presence of Rev. Fr. Economer, Salesian Fathers from neighbouring communities, and the members of the DBCL community. The prayerful and dignified ceremony marked an important moment in the life of the institution as leadership was formally entrusted to Fr. Januarius Sangma.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

During his address, Rev. Fr. Provincial expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Jogesh B. Sangma, the outgoing Rector and Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBCHSS), for his dedicated leadership and tireless service in bringing the institution to greater heights. He appreciated Fr. Jogesh for his generous spirit and readiness in accepting his new obedience as the Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fr. Provincial also acknowledged the rich and varied experience of Fr. Januarius Sangma, highlighting the commendable service he rendered during his one-year tenure as Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura. He expressed happiness over Fr. Januarius\u2019 willing and cheerful acceptance of the new responsibility entrusted to him at DBCL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, Fr. Januarius Sangma thanked the confreres and guests for their gracious presence and fraternal support. He paid special tribute to Fr. Jogesh B. Sangma for his commitment, hard work, and visionary leadership through which DBCHSS has achieved its present stature. Fr. Januarius assured everyone that he would strive to continue the legacy and uphold the standards established by his predecessor as he begins his new mission at DBCL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further encouraged the community to journey together in mutual support, reminding everyone of the importance of becoming more social and humane individuals rather than living in isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The installation ceremony concluded joyfully with a short felicitation programme, marked by fraternity, gratitude, and hope for the future leadership of DBCL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
