The faithful of Kabirali Parish and the Province will witness a moment of great joy and grace as Dn. Sebastian Basumatari SDB will be ordained a priest on 14 April 2026 at St. Joseph Parish, Kabirali. The solemn Eucharistic celebration will begin at 09:30 AM and will be presided over by Most Rev. Michael Akasius Toppo, DD, Bishop of Tezpur.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dn. Sebastian Basumatari, son of Mr. Barnabas Basumatari and Mrs. Sumonti Basumatari, will be ordained in the presence of his family members, Salesian confreres, clergy, religious, and a large gathering of the faithful. The celebration will mark a significant milestone not only in his personal vocation journey but also for the Church and the Salesian Congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of the celebration, inspired by Philippians 1:21, \u201cFor to me, living is Christ and dying is gain,\u201d will reflect the deep spiritual commitment of the ordinand as he prepares to dedicate his life fully to the service of God and His people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on 15 April 2026 at 09:30 AM at Boscobari Don Bosco Catholic Church, Udalguri, where the newly ordained priest will offer his first Mass in gratitude to God for the gift of priesthood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The faithful will be invited to participate in these sacred celebrations and to pray for Dn. Sebastian as he begins his priestly ministry in the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
