The 12th<\/sup> batch of the Yamaha Training School was formally inaugurated at Don Bosco Technical School, Maligaon, on 2 March 2026, marking another significant milestone in the institution\u2019s commitment to young people’s skill development in the region.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fourteen students have enrolled in the new batch. Since the programme\u2019s inception, over 250 students have successfully completed the training and secured job placements \u2014 a testament to the programme\u2019s enduring impact on youth employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a cultural programme that showcased the rich diversity of the student community. Hostel students entertained the gathering with a Garo song, while the hostel girls presented a vibrant Adivasi dance. The boys added further colour to the occasion with an energetic Bodo dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his inaugural address, Rev. Fr Augustine Karottupuram, Rector of Don Bosco Technical School, emphasised the importance of the training programme and expressed his gratitude to Yamaha for providing the necessary equipment for the hands-on training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, Fr Joy Kachappilly underscored the vital importance of skill training in today\u2019s world, stressing that young people must equip themselves with practical skills to secure a strong and confident future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Br Joby Mani, Director of the Technical School, urged the students to give their heart and soul to their training, challenging them to aspire to become expert mechanics specialising in the repair of not only Yamaha motorcycles but also every other brand of motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Ubayedullah, the course trainer, delivered the vote of thanks, encouraging the students with an apt analogy \u2014 to become skilled \u2018doctors\u2019 who diagnose and treat the Yamaha bike. He thanked the Salesians, the faculty and the students for their enthusiastic participation in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
