    Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, Provincial, formally inaugurated the Higher Secondary Section at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Satgaon on October 22, 2025, in the presence of Rev. Fr. A. Jayaprakash, Provincial Economer, Fr. Albert Thyrniang, Principal, Sr. Mary Hasdah, Headmistress, staff and students of the school. The inauguration coincided with the official visitation of Mary Help of Christians Church, Satgaon.<\/h3>\n

    Fr. Provincial cut the ceremonial ribbon amidst an atmosphere of joy and excitement among the management, staff, and students, who had long awaited this significant milestone in the institution\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

    Addressing the gathering of students, teachers, and guests, the Provincial expressed his joy and gratitude for being part of this memorable occasion, the formal commencement of Class XI from the academic year 2025. He congratulated the management for taking this important step forward, highlighting that the National Education Policy (NEP) encourages every educational institution to extend learning up to the higher secondary level.<\/p>\n

    Encouraging the pioneer batch of 15 students, Fr. Provincial hoped that they would set a high academic standard and inspire future groups to emulate their example. He urged the students to pursue their studies with commitment and to align their learning with the fast-evolving world of technology and innovation. He also expressed his appreciation to the teachers for their dedication and for willingly taking on additional responsibilities to serve the institution.<\/p>\n

    Prior to the inauguration, Fr. Provincial was accorded a warm welcome, featuring a well-prepared cultural programme of songs and traditional dances by the students. Fr. Provincial also awarded Miss Mir-etso Teronpi of Class-IX A who was awarded the winner of the KZYF (Karbi Anglong Zonal Youth Festival 2025 from among 30 contestants.<\/p>\n

    Before his departure on October 23, Fr. Provincial addressed the school staff, reflecting on the Preventive System of St. John Bosco. He invited the educators to apply the principles of Reason, Religion, and Loving-Kindness in their teaching ministry so as to form young people who are responsible, value-driven, and capable of making a lasting impact in society.<\/p>\n
