On the First Friday of the month 07 March 2025, veteran Salesian Rev. Fr. Alfred Marzo, SDB, delivered an inspiring talk to the students of Assam Don Bosco University, Azara Campus. Emphasizing the value of perseverance, he reminded them, “No pain, no gain.”
Reflecting on his journey, Fr. Marzo shared that when he arrived in India 73 years ago, he did not know a word of English. Despite this challenge, he was required to appear for the matriculation exams in English within a year. Through sheer determination and hard work, he excelled.
Encouraging the students to embrace diligence and dedication, he said, “Unless you work hard today, you will not reap the fruits of your efforts tomorrow.” His words left a deep impression on the young minds, inspiring them to strive for excellence in their academic and personal lives.
