
Participants comprising fathers, sisters, brothers, Salesian co-operators, and past pupils gathered to honor St. John Bosco on his feast day.
On 31st January 2025, the Don Bosco Provincial house, Guwahati commemorated the Feast of St. John Bosco with a solemn Prayer Service, uniting the Salesian family members and the clergy and religious around Guwahati in a celebration of faith and gratitude. Themed “Hope: The Heartbeat of the Salesian Spirit,” the prayer service reflected on Don Bosco’s legacy of educating and uplifting the young.
The program featured scripture readings, hymns, a floral tribute, and prayers of the faithful, emphasizing the saint’s deep commitment to the youth. A special reflection on St. John Bosco’s encounter with Bartholomew Garelli highlighted his mission of hope and transformation.
The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a message from Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, Provincial, encouraging all to embody the Salesian values of service, love, and dedication to the young. He welcomed the Archbishop Emiritus, the priest, sisters, co-operators, past pupils to the celebration of the feast of the father and friend of the young St. john Bosco.
