The much-awaited SYMFEST 2024-2025, a vibrant gathering of youth and faith, concluded on 1st January 2025 with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Lawrence Pius Dorairaj, the Bishop of Dharmapuri. The concluding service was attended by a large gathering of Salesian priests, brothers, sisters, and young participants, who had gathered for the week-long festival that began on 29th December 2024.
The Holy Mass, a highlight of the closing ceremony, was concelebrated by several Salesian priests and marked a moment of reflection and thanksgiving for all those who had participated in the festival’s wide array of activities.
Following the Mass, a prize distribution ceremony took place to honor the winners of various competitions held during the event. Participants, ranging from youth to religious leaders, were awarded certificates and accolades for their exceptional contributions. ING participants won hearts of all those who have attended the programme.
Earlier in the day, the concluding session included a heartfelt welcome speech, the felicitation of the “Hero of Hope” award, and the reading of the “Lines of Action,” a collective effort from the youth participants outlining their future commitments to faith and community life.
The event wrapped up with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all involved in making SYMFEST 2024-2025 a resounding success. The festival not only celebrated faith but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among the young attendees, leaving them inspired for the year ahead.
