The Scouts and Guides of St Dominic Savio School, Garobadha.
A day of immense pride and celebration for St. Dominic Savio School, Garobadha, as ten Guides and five Scouts from the school were awarded the prestigious Rajyapuraskar Award at a grand ceremony held at the Governor’s Palace, Shillong, on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. The ceremony was graced by distinguished officials of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Meghalaya, along with eminent guests and dignitaries.
The Rajyapuraskar Award, instituted by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, is the highest recognition at the state level, conferred upon Scouts and Guides who demonstrate outstanding leadership, discipline, community service, and dedication to the principles of Scouting and Guiding. The recipients undergo rigorous training, service activities, and skill development camps before earning this distinguished honour.
For the students of St. Dominic Savio School, this achievement is not only a personal milestone but also a shining moment in the school’s history. It reflects the tireless efforts of their Scout Master and Guide Captain, who have continuously guided and motivated the young learners to live by the Scout and Guide motto “Be Prepared.”
Speaking about the achievement, the school management expressed heartfelt pride and appreciation for the students who have brought laurels to the institution. “Our Scouts and Guides are the pride of our school.
