Young Salesian Clerics at the Tri-monthly Recollection at Guwahati.
The Province organized a Tri-Monthly Recollection for Clerics and Brothers at the Provincial House, Panbazar, on 8th and 9th November 2025. The recollection brought together Salesians in formation and young confreres for moments of prayer, reflection, and fraternal renewal in the spirit of Don Bosco.
The program commenced on Saturday 08 November 2025 with the first session animated by Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial who offered insights for spiritual growth and Salesian commitment. Later in the evening, Fr. Zacharias Varickasseril SDB, Registrar of ADBU, Tapesia Garden, delivered the Recollection Talk, inspiring participants to deepen their relationship with God and live out their Salesian consecration with zeal. The evening concluded with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Confessions, and Common Adoration and Evening Prayer led by Bro. Hardy Sangma SDB, followed by supper, rosary, and night prayers by Rev Fr Savio Silveira SDB, former Provincial of Mumbai.
In his goodnight talk he thanked the Province for the warm welcome offered him. He spoke to He spoke to the clerics about the need to conserve the environment and, more importantly, urged them to create an ecosystem that respects nature by involving students in their centres to work towards a greener environment. He added that it is the plan of the Congregation to work towards the Don Bosco Green Alliance.
The recollection continued on Sunday, 9th November, beginning with Lectio Divina and the Holy Mass integrated with Morning Prayer. After breakfast, Bro. Benjamin Rosant SDB conducted the second session on the theme “Religious Discipline”, emphasizing the importance of fidelity to religious commitments and community life. Fr. Paul Kuttikadan SDB led the third session titled “Salesian and Missionary Calling”, highlighting the missionary dynamism of Salesian vocation. The final segment featured Group Dynamics guided by Fr. Bivan R. Mukhim SDB on the topic “Salesian Assistant: Accompaniment of the Young”, encouraging participants to nurture personal guidance and accompaniment in their apostolic engagements.
The recollection concluded with lunch and recreation, leaving the participants spiritually enriched and renewed in their Salesian identity.
