| On the night between 9 and 10 April, 1886, Don Bosco dreamed of the growth of the Salesian works along an axis that traversed the world from South America to China. As if from above, the Madonna made him see the main cities of the future Salesian missions. He recalls: Mary, said: now draw a single line from one extremity to the other, from Peking to Santiago, traversing the centre of Africa and you will have an exact idea of how much work the Salesians have yet to do.
