History
Don Bosco Junior College, Azara, about 15 kms from the city of Guwahati, on the road to the airport, was opened in 2002 to cater to the requirements of the students who had completed studies at DonBoscoHigh School, Guwahati, as also of the localities around Azara. The lack of space in the city itself, and the need to branch out, resulted in the establishment of the junior college on the outskirts of the city of Guwahati. The college runs the plus 2 course in the arts, science and commerce streams, and has made a name for itself within this short time. The pioneer and founding principal is Fr. Kuriala.
