History
In August 1996, Fr. Pulinthanth Joseph and Cl. Vinod Amla began residing in a small house in the land purchased, measuring about 8 acres. They strengthened the boundary fencing and put the land to agricultural use. An Assam type house was constructed for a temporary school building, and on May 2nd 1997, Don Bosco School, Agartala was inaugurated by Mr. Keshab Muzumdar, Minister, Govt. of Tripura, in the presence of Bp. Lumen Monteiro and Fr. Dominic Jala, the Provincial. Fr. M.C George took charge as the founder Principal and Fr. Pulinthanth Joseph as the vice Principal of the school with five classes. Construction of the new school building was completed by December 1997 and the school shifted to the new building in January 1998. The new school was blessed and inaugurated in 2004.
 
To provide the people of Agartala and the surrounding with an institution of excellence, a master plan of land utilization was drawn up. Work began in May 2000. The total floor area of the new School Complex will be about 50,000 sq. ft. At present, Fr. M.C. George manages the school all alone. Upgrading a class every year, the school is proceeding to become a full fledged Higher Secondary School affiliated to the Tripura Board of secondary Education.
